Welcome to my website! Here's a deeper look into who I am and what I bring to our therapeutic journey:

Originally from India, I embarked on a life-changing journey when I immigrated to the United States. With two Master’s degrees - the first in Clinical Psychology and the second in Mental Health Counseling - I've dedicated my career to guiding individuals like yourself on your path towards self-discovery and healing. 

My clinical interests are deeply rooted in fostering personal growth, providing clarity amidst distress, and helping you find meaning in your life's experiences. Specializing in depression, anxiety, cultural adaptation, and relationship dynamics, I offer individual therapy designed to support you through life's challenges. From teaching techniques to manage emotional stressors to integrating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with other evidence-based therapeutic approaches, I tailor my methods to suit your unique needs and circumstances. Spirituality also plays an integral role in my work with you, honoring the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit. 

As an immigrant myself, I am deeply passionate about extending compassionate care to individuals of diverse social and cultural backgrounds. Understanding the importance of fostering a supportive and inclusive environment, I create a therapeutic setting where you will feel valued, understood, and empowered to explore your identity and pursue growth and healing. Furthermore, my personal experiences as a mother and being in an interracial relationship provide me with a nuanced understanding of family dynamics and the complexities of relationships. 

Before establishing my private practice, I served diverse communities by providing community-based mental health care to individuals of all ages.

When I'm not in the office, you'll often find me exploring new recipes in the kitchen, showering affection on my beloved dogs, or reconnecting with the serenity of nature.

What is individual therapy and Is it for me?

Individual therapy or talk therapy provides you with a safe space to enhance your emotional well-being by engaging in deep sharing about your feelings and experiences, exploring your needs and understanding how your life experiences influence your functioning. It is a judgment-free space where you will learn to access your own vulnerability. This space will inspire you to share about your struggles and the impact they are having on you. You will be assisted in developing tools to manage distress. You will also be assisted in developing compassion and acceptance of yourself and your circumstances. You will learn to move from a space of judgment and criticism to nurturing your true self in order to live life in accordance with your values.


Individual therapy can be a short-term or a long-term process. My practice focuses on long-term therapy, although I may also offer short-term therapy depending on your needs. I believe it takes time to peel away layers and confront the root cause(s) of our distress; once these are identified, deeper long-standing healing takes place. Openness is key to growth.

Do you offer in-person sessions and/or teletherapy?

I am currently conducting sessions virtually using a HIPAA-compliant platform.

Do you accept insurance? 

I am out-of-network with insurance companies and will provide you with a superbill that will allow you to seek reimbursement from your insurance company. 

         I also offer a sliding scale for a variety of circumstances. Please feel free to ask me if this is an option available to you.
